[Vacancy] Water and Sanitation Engineer - Muslim Aid Indonesia I Banda Aceh

Muslim Aid Indonesia will implement the project of Water and Sanitation in West Sumatra and currently would like to recruit the Water and Sanitation Engineer position who willing to be located at field. The Water and Sanitation Engineer will supervise the construction process for the water and sanitation and will report directly to Muslim Aid Padang Coordinator.

Location           : Padang Sub Field Office

Duration           : 6 Months with possibility extension

Starting date     :  January 10, 2011

Report to          : Muslim Aid Padang Coordinator

Qualification & Experience

• University degree in civil engineering or construction management
• At least 2 years of relevant professional experience
• Language - proficiency in English (written and spoken) will be an asset
• Good communications skills, including negotiation skill good interpersonal skills,
• Honest, responsible, self motivated and able to take initiative under
• minimum supervision
• Experience of working for a humanitarian aid organization is an asset

Duties and responsibilities

• Conducting field survey for the construction of water supply and sanitation planning
• Create technical design drawings of the construction of water and sanitation supply.
• Calculate the budget needed for the construction of water and sanitation facilities.
• Controlling all of the materials used during construction of water and sanitation facilities.
• To coordinate with local contractors on the construction technique of water and sanitaion supply.
• Supervise the construction of water and sanitation facilities in the field.
• Conduct training to workers about the piping.
• Making project progress reports to Padang Coordinator
• Making Project final reports to Padang Coordinator
